Kronen Gaard Hotell
Rogaland not only offers steep mountainsides and winding roads through the Lysefjord to experience national icons such as Prekestolen & Kjerag.
The region also offers the fabled Route 13 and a Ryfylke region full of great driving experiences.
In addition, the hilly Jæren region, which also includes the national tourist route Nordsjøvegen, offers many fantastic adventures.
And let’s not forget the coastal districts of Haugalandet and Dalane, which offer little gems of unique coastal culture.
Kronen Gaard Hotel is a different, cozy and intimate hotel.
The Swiss-style main house was built in 1898 by timber merchant Gabriel Block Watne for use as a summer residence.
The farm gradually became a favorite gathering place for family and friends, known for good food and great social activity.
This laid the foundation for the cozy and informal atmosphere that still reigns over the place.
The kitchen at Kronen Gaard Hotel is well known for its honest approach to food, using ingredients from local suppliers.
Nature and the surroundings are in beautiful spring bloom from April, until the autumn color splendor in September.
The beautiful hornbeam that characterizes the south side of the property is probably Rogaland’s oldest, planted in 1907.
Kronen Gaard, which is now part of HUBriding.no, has therefore developed five fantastic routes that make it possible to spend a week experiencing this region.
The five Hubriding routes offer a collection of carefully selected driving and nature experiences you can only find in the region.
The routes include coastal and ocean, fjord and mountain experiences, as well as hilly terrain through Norway’s food bowl and the beautiful Jæren landscape.
The HUBriding concept also delivers services that motorcyclists appreciate and includes “Bikers welcome”, washing facilities, drying facilities, secure parking and tool lending. We offer experiences and impressions you will never forget!
Hubriding means that, based at one of De Historiske Hotel, you choose from many defined riding routes located in the area surrounding the hotel. The routes we offer go through some of Norway’s very best terrain and include tens of thousands of bends, spectacular mountain passes, asphalt, gravel, wonderful nature experiences and the opportunity to eat well at local establishments. We’ve included sights and eateries for you to visit in the routes.
You will be able to choose from a number of routes and route combinations that make it possible to choose daily stages of varying length and difficulty. The concept has been developed by Straand Hotel in Vrådal together with Norway’s leading motorcycle enthusiasts.
