Route 3

Fjord and mountains

On this trip, we focus on a Fjord & Fjell experience of the rarest kind. The journey starts on the E39 north towards Stavanger. Here you’ll experience the world’s longest and deepest underwater tunnel Ryfast on the way to Tau. We then travel along the fjord via RV 13 to Lysebotn.

The route is defined as hard

Routes defined as demanding are suitable for people with experience in demanding parties.

A place at the bottom of the Lysefjord that has Kjerag as a destination for those who love hiking and want to take a detour.
Here you have to choose whether you want to take a ferry back to Oanes or continue the drive.
On the other hand, for those who want to focus on a drive of a lifetime, between mid-May and October we can tempt you with 27 hairpin bends over the high mountains to Fidjeland in Sirdal, an experience that is highly recommended.

Afterwards, the tour heads towards Sinnes where you get to experience the high mountains of Sirdal on RV 45 on the way to Byrkjedalstunet.
The tour then continues towards Dirdal and past Høle, where we recommend a trip to the idyllic Bakers’ Paradise for a well-deserved break before heading back to Sandnes and a well-deserved 3-course meal with something good in the glass at Gamlaværket or the venerable Kronen Gaard Hotel if you still have strength after a strenuous day on the bike.
