Route 1: Granavollen-Røykenvik
It is recommended that the GPS is set to select the fastest route and any avoidance turned off for the route to be calculated as described.
This 26-kilometer route has a medium level of difficulty and offers around 500 meters of elevation gain. The surface consists of a mix of asphalt and gravel, which makes for a varied cycling experience. The route requires a certain level of basic fitness, but doesn't have the steepest climbs, making it suitable for those who want a bit of a challenge without being too demanding.
The tour offers several sights (Hadeland Folkemuseum, Old Tingelstad Church) and dining (Lokstallen). Possibility to walk to Sølvsberget to enjoy views of Hadeland. Little traffic and easy terrain. Because of the sights, a super nice day trip! The tour is listed on the Cycling map for Hadeland. The map can be purchased from local hotels, or ordered from the tourist office in Gjøvik – tel. 611 46 710. Enjoy the historic surroundings of Granavollen a little longer and spend the night at Granavolden Hotell & Gjæstgiver. The cycling map contains several day trips, including to Jevnaker and Hadeland Glassverk.

The routes we offer go through some of Norway’s very best terrain and include tens of thousands of bends, spectacular mountain passes, asphalt, gravel, wonderful nature experiences and the opportunity to eat well at local establishments. We’ve included sights and eateries for you to visit in the routes.
You will be able to choose from a number of routes and route combinations that make it possible to choose daily stages of varying length and difficulty. The concept has been developed by Straand Hotel in Vrådal together with Norway’s leading motorcycle enthusiasts.
