It is recommended that the GPS is set to select the fastest route and any avoidance turned off for the route to be calculated as described.

Treungen itself is very pleasant and here you'll also find the legendary Z museum, which has fun exhibitions from the 1900s onwards.
Here you'll find all the technology you remember from your childhood, so this can be a journey into nostalgia.
On your return, you'll also have the opportunity to experience the fantastic Fjone ferry, which is pulled over by a cable (NB: check the timetable before departure).

Route 8 is a great time trial route for the pros and a wonderful hiking experience for exercisers.
This tour is also a great recovery tour for those who may have had a slightly tougher ride the day before.
It’s fantastic to start the hike in Vrådal in the beautiful morning sun that reflects off the mountains in the still water.
The hike down to Treungen is slightly hilly and alternates between walking along the water or open and well-kept forest areas.
On the way to Treungen, you can refuel in Nordbygda or Kyrkjebygdi, which are located halfway down the road to Treungen.
In Treungen you have the opportunity to find waffles and coffee or visit the Z museum which we really recommend.
Here you can also get simple refreshments.
From here, the road heads north along the west side of Nisser in a varied and pleasant terrain.
The road winds through forests and agricultural land, but you can always enjoy the beautiful view of Nisser.
The road from Fjone to the cable ferry at Sundåsen is nothing short of charming, and everyone finds the trip across Nisser by cable ferry a highlight.
From here you have a very pleasant and charming trip back to Vrådal and the roof terrace that awaits with friendly people and well-deserved refreshments.
