On this tour you will experience Jæren's proximity to the North Sea and the geologically interesting Dalane area.

This tour starts by cycling south towards Bryne and then turning east where we cycle towards Høg-Jæren and meet the first climb up towards Karlsbu. After Karlsbu we cycle towards Brusali where a nice descent takes us all the way down to the coast again and to the beach area of Brusand. From Brusand, we cycle into the Dalane region, which is described as an undulating landscape - i.e. slightly hilly. The journey from Brusand takes us towards Egersund (note that the municipality is called Eigersund while the town is called Egersund), but a few kilometers from Egersund we take a side road over to Ege (or Eige). For those who wish, the hill up to Ege can be used to get your heart rate up. The journey onwards brings us down to Tengesdal and an easy-cycling terrain towards E39. Just before we arrive at E39, we turn left and cycle a few hundred meters towards Røysland, where we turn left again towards the Kløgtveit village museum. You'll be looking for a more beautiful cultural landscape than the road up towards Kløgtveit. After this somewhat strenuous climb, we cycle on towards the next hill that brings us up to Slettabø. At Slettabø we cycle down a long and beautiful hill to Vikeså and a potential break at the local Circle K station.

After hopefully a nice break, we continue towards Nedrebø, often characterized as the inner lane of Rogaland in terms of cultural landscape and cycling friendliness. Upon arrival at Nedrebø, if you have more energy left, you can test a short "puncher" hill of a few hundred meters before turning left towards E39. At E39, you will cycle a few kilometers on this very busy road. We recommend that you cycle in two rows here so that cars behind you must overtake the "bicycle train" in accordance with the regulations. After cycling about 4 km, we leave the E39 to cycle around Kyllingstad before cycling back onto the E39. At Skurve, after cycling about 2 km, we leave the E39 for good and cycle on a well-sheltered cycle path to Ålgård and then back to Sandnes.
