Brakanes Hotel
The Historic Tourist Adventure at Brakanes Hotel was started in 1860 by the local coachman Sjur, who ran a local coach station that provided transportation of both people and goods. Today’s building was completed in 1949 after it burned down during the war, the history goes back to 1860. Enjoy the magnificent scenery from the gardens at the hotel or get lost in the apple orchards with a visit to the side gardens at Frukt- og siderruta. Experience one of many driving experiences in the local area.

Brakanes Hotel is beautifully situated by the fjord, about 35 minutes drive from Voss, or 2 hours and 20 minutes from Bergen.

The routes we offer go through some of Norway’s very best terrain and include tens of thousands of bends, spectacular mountain passes, asphalt, gravel, wonderful nature experiences and the opportunity to eat well at local establishments. We’ve included sights and eateries for you to visit in the routes. You will be able to choose from a number of routes and route combinations that make it possible to choose daily stages of varying length and difficulty. The concept has been developed by Straand Hotel in Vrådal together with Norway’s leading motorcycle enthusiasts.
