Follow the Norwegian Scenic Route to Moskog through lush countryside, with lakes, mountains and waterfalls.
Turn north and continue along Jølstravatnet in the landscape of the artist Astrup.
Continue through the tunnel to Fjærland.
Here you can stop for lunch, admire the glacier, visit the glacier museum or the book town.
Continue to the "juice town" of Sogndal.
From there, head along the fjord to the Hella-Dragsvik ferry terminal.
Return to Flatheim along the fjord, up through the hairpin bends on Gaularfjellet past Utsikten and "home".

How can I navigate the route?

This primarily depends on whether you have a GPS installed, navigate by App on your mobile phone or prefer paper printing.
Here we describe the most common workflows:

  • Download the GPX file for the route of your choice to your computer
  • Import the file to your route planning tool (e.g. Garmin’s Basecamp or Tom Tom’s MyDrive)
  • Export the route to your GPS in the usual way
  • Check that the route is calculated correctly in your GPS (It is recommended that the GPS is set to select the fastest route and any avoidance is turned off for the route to be calculated as described).
  • Have a good trip!
  • Download the GPX file for the route of your choice to your mobile phone
  • Send/open the file in the app that belongs to your GPS model (e.g. Garmin’s Drive or Tom Tom’s MyDrive)
  • Send the route to your GPS (follow instructions that come with your GPS and App)
  • Check that the route is calculated correctly in your GPS (It is recommended that the GPS is set to select the fastest route and any avoidance is turned off for the route to be calculated as described).
  • Have a good trip!

Many of the routes on Hubriding use the app Ride with GPS app for route planning and navigation of the routes.
You can download a free version or pay for extended use.

Hubriding means that, based at one of De Historiske Hotel, you choose from many defined riding routes located in the area surrounding the hotel. The routes we offer go through some of Norway’s very best terrain and include tens of thousands of bends, spectacular mountain passes, asphalt, gravel, wonderful nature experiences and the opportunity to eat well at local establishments. We’ve included sights and eateries for you to visit in the routes.
You will be able to choose from a number of routes and route combinations that make it possible to choose daily stages of varying length and difficulty. The concept has been developed by Straand Hotel in Vrådal together with Norway’s leading motorcycle enthusiasts.
