The section to Solvorn runs on wonderful "sweepers" that allow you to let go of some speed and find a good flow. The last part down to Solvorn is just charming and must be enjoyed and if you are generous with yourself you order lunch with Ole Henrik at Walaker hotel, it must be booked. The ferry from Solvorn is a small ferry with few departures so it is advisable to book a place on tel. 992 78 837 or booking@lustrabaatane.no.

Remember that you have the opportunity to drive past Urnes stave church dated 1140 and make a stop at the 218 meter high Feigefossen waterfall.
From Skjolden to Turtragrø (900 meters above sea level) you drive Sognefjellsvegen, which is a national tourist route.
Feel free to make a stop at Turtragrø.
The 32 km long Tindevegen from Turtragrø to Årdal is a fantastic experience that you will remember, on this stretch you can stop several times to enjoy the view!
The road down to Øvre Årdal is steep, winding, narrow and fun, and a coffee break is probably in order here!
You’ll then continue along the fjord to Fodnes and the ferry that takes you to Mannheller.
The tour continues from here to Sogndal and along the Sognefjord to Balestrand.
