On this tour you can experience one of Norway's best salmon rivers, Gloppedalsura, which is Northern Europe's largest stone quarry, and Byrkjedalstunet.

The tour starts in Egersund, where you take RV 44 towards Tengesdal and turn off onto FV 51.
Here you can make a quick stop to see the salmon ladder in one of Norway’s best salmon rivers, Tengselva/Bjerkreimselva.
The tour then continues more or less along the entire salmon river until you reach Vikeså.
After Vikeså, take the RV 503 and cycle towards Byrkjedal.
Here you come to Gloppedalsura, which is worth a little stop.
It is made up of boulders lying on top of an end moraine.
Ura was created 10,000 years ago when the glaciers melted away from Gloppedalen.
An old legend says that there used to be a farm in Gloppedalen, but the people there were godless, they drank and fought during the holy days of Christmas.
Then the mountain fell down and buried the whole farm, but for seven full years people could hear a rooster crowing under the rocks.
It had gotten into a grain bin.
Not long after Gloppedalsura, it’s time to take a breather at Byrkjedalstunet.
Here you can enjoy a good cup of coffee and waffles.
After that, it’s all downhill and fast on the way back.
