Motorcycle legend Kåre Vaskinn strategized it all, then Kim Harald Jøranli took over
Kåre Vaskinn originally started MC Oslo and built the company literally from the ground up and to this day has legendary status in the motorcycle industry. Kåre will always have that and he still enjoys great respect in the MC industry for what he has built and achieved. But in 2021, a new ownership group took over the company and Kim Harald Jøranli has led the company into a new era characterized by new growth and major investments.
On Thursday, the most important people in MC Oslo’s sphere were invited to mark the opening of the new store that currently houses Honda and BMW. Cato Moen from Duell had made the trip from Kongsvinger to celebrate with more than a hundred MC notables.
Kim Harald and the team had set up the store at Vollebekk outside Oslo for a party and the attendees were able to enjoy the news and artistic input from both musicians and two painters who produced a cool picture during the celebration.
The new store is guaranteed to be one of the largest and most beautiful in the Nordic region and will be a travel destination for many. We assume that people from both south and north will make the journey around Vollebekk and it’s worth it. The new premises have been designed as a multi-purpose building that can be used by MC Oslo’s most important stakeholders and the premises are really well thought out in terms of design, function and layout.
With dedicated delivery rooms for new bicycles, large and small meeting rooms that can accommodate many and varied activities, few if any can match this. We’re unlikely to match this in any Norwegian context, at least.
On Thursday, the premises were decorated for a party and MC Oslo marked with this that they are in every way the largest in the Norwegian MC market.
Foreman Trond Fladby is one of the old-timers and was responsible for the formal ribbon cutting.
The new and elegant premises are spacious and have plenty of room for both Honda and BMW, which are about the same size in terms of space. Honda has had a good start to the year and will have its rightful place in the new building. Anton Vestavik from Kellox talked a little about the future and an exciting year with many new products in the portfolio. Honda is currently passing a staggering 500 million motorcycles produced worldwide, which is simply impressive.
With this, the whole of motorcycling Norway has a new grand hall and the editors must congratulate Mr Jøranli and his team on a great and worthy celebration of an important milestone for the entire motorcycle industry.
We congratulate you.
