Yamaha’s MAX Sport Scooter range is one of the most popular and successful motorcycle ranges in the European and ASEAN markets, and in 2025 the new XMAX models will be launched offering customers an even wider choice as well as higher specification and reduced emissions globally. It’s been almost a quarter of a century since the ground-breaking TMAX entered the market and completely changed the public’s perception of the scooter. Ever since that day, Yamaha’s range of MAX sport scooters has continually expanded and evolved, and for 2025 the class-leading XMAX 125, XMAX 250* and XMAX 300 models have been further refined with a number of key changes to continue their outstanding success. 
The XMAX models offer a premium design combined with a sporty character and everyday flexibility, providing all commuters with an excellent balance of performance, style, functionality and economy. Since their launch, the XMAX 125 and XMAX 300 – as well as the XMAX 250 for the Asian and Turkish markets – have attracted a massive following among customers who appreciate the very special features that come as standard on these class-leading models. Originally launched in Europe in 2004 and introduced to the ASEAN markets from 2017, the XMAX models have been among the most successful sport scooters in their respective categories. More than 166,000 units have been sold in Europe and since 2017, XMAX has been purchased by over 248,000 customers in the ASEAN markets – as well as almost 22,000 in Turkey. The MAX Sport Scooter range is one of the most diverse and successful ranges in Europe, and the 2025 models are designed to offer commuters an even more fun and refined riding experience. Inspired by the legendary TMAX and shaped by the same dynamic sports DNA as Yamaha’s flagship models, the XMAX models are equipped with a range of updates and enhancements that reinforce the MAX family’s dominant market position. XMAX 125/300 Tech MAX and XMAX 125/300 Tech MAX+ models New electrically adjustable screen For 2025, the Tech MAX and Tech MAX+ models are equipped with an electrically adjustable screen that provides maximum riding comfort and best-in-class style. This electric screen can be adjusted up to 95 mm up and down and is easily controlled by a switch on the handlebar, allowing riders of varying sizes to choose the ideal setting. In addition to the new premium screen, the latest Tech MAX and Tech MAX+ models feature integrated front glare lights. This provides enhanced wind protection to the rider’s arms, and a new cowl front and spoiler help to eliminate turbulence and provide an even better ride. Premium Tech MAX finish
The premium finish on all Tech MAX and Tech MAX+ models is aimed at those customers who want the ultimate MAX experience and includes a range of special features and details. These include aluminum footplates on the spacious footboard area, as well as model-specific mirrors and handlebar ends. The front storage compartment is padded to match the seat and Tech MAX emblems highlight the exclusivity of these premium sport scooters. Special Tech MAX and Tech MAX+ colors In addition to generally higher specifications, the Tech MAX and Tech MAX+ models have special dedicated colors that emphasize their exclusivity. All XMAX models are equipped with a connected dashboard, enabling drivers to stay in touch with family, friends and work. After downloading the free MyRide app, owners can use their smartphone to connect to the machine via Bluetooth. Once this is done, it’s easy to check notifications for calls, emails and messages, as well as view useful and interesting machine operating data, including average fuel consumption, routes traveled, speed, driving time and more. Complimentary Garmin navigation** via smartphone is exclusive to the Tech MAX and Tech MAX+ models. This 4.2-inch TFT display provides riders with real-time traffic information, distance to destination, estimated time of arrival and more. In other words, the driver gets a wealth of data that can make every trip more efficient and enjoyable. **The navigation app will not be available in some countries. Information about speed limits, traffic, etc. will not be displayed in some countries and regions. Speed limit data may be updated late and speed limits may change depending on the time of day, for example in school zones or around construction sites. Dynamic MAX look with X-shaped headlight

For excellent visibility to other road users, XMAX models are equipped with high mounted front turn signals that are seamlessly integrated into the bodywork. Full LED lighting underlines the premium specifications of the XMAX range and consists of an X-shaped LED headlight and LED turn signals, with dual LED taillights with integrated LED turn signals at the rear. In addition to being equipped with an electrically adjustable display, TFT instrument panel and special features such as aluminum footplates, the Tech MAX and Tech MAX+ models are also characterized by the leather-style seat cover with graphite stitching and leather-style storage compartment lid. Underneath the comfortable double seat on all XMAX models is a spacious storage compartment designed to hold 2 helmets, depending on size and shape. Together with the two front storage compartments, this gives the owner plenty of storage options. EURO 5+ approved engines
For 2025, all XMAX models benefit from a EURO5+ compliant engine for smooth and seamless acceleration. The XMAX 300cc and XMAX 125cc engines have been developed using Yamaha’s Blue Core technology which reduces power loss and increases combustion efficiency, delivering lively acceleration alongside eco-friendly performance. Powered by the potent 300cc engine, the XMAX 300 / XMAX 300 Tech MAX / XMAX 300 Tech MAX+ models are equipped with a new lightweight silencer with two catalytic converters to ensure reduced emissions.
XMAX models feature Yamaha’s smart key ignition system that allows riders to unlock and start the sport scooter as well as open the fuel and storage compartments with the key in their pocket. All models also feature a new USB Type C connector located in the front compartment. Yamaha’s free MyRide app allows riders to get more out of every ride. MyRide is available to everyone. It tracks the route ridden and stores it in the rider’s own account. Users can also view a range of data, including angle of descent, acceleration, average/peak speed, distance traveled and altitude. It’s also easy to add photos from the ride and share on social media. Yamaha MyGarage MyGarage is the easiest and most fun way to build a virtual dream Yamaha using a range of original accessories.
