If you missed it – don´t miss it again

So let’s take a look at who’s behind it and what it takes to pull off this insane success that hits the motorcycle charts right in the heart every fall!
It’s really quite simple and it comes down to just two things:

1. Willingness to do it
2. Ability to execute, ability is achieved by collaborating with those who have expertise

But it always starts with the will.
At Straand, the will lies with owners Lars Arne and Katrine Straand, who work all year round to create this magical motorcycle weekend for us motorcyclists.

This year, Sara, the eldest daughter, has also taken her driver's license and is now

This year, Sara, the eldest daughter, has also taken her driver’s license and is now “all in” at Straand Treffet.
But that’s not enough, you need more muscle to pull this off, in fact you need to establish your own administration that can plan, coordinate and execute, and here the meeting general Trond Olsen is a very important figure who makes it all run smoothly every single year.
Some call this person a “firebrand”.

Trond (on the left in the picture) has his own administration that covers all the capacities he needs. Everything from planning, accommodation and catering, the professional program, cooperation with the industry and dealers, interest organizations, in short, everyone who will deliver about 80 motorcycles and content production for these two days in Vrådal.

So we're talking about everything from well-known spin doctors and media people, to locally sourced food, interest groups and enthusiasts from the local community who give us a taste of all things local.

Perhaps the industry's most important influencers, such as Eddi Mathisen (left) of Førerutvikling.no, are present together with the knowledge environments, represented here by Tore Johansen (right) from the Safety Forum.

“They’re all hard-driving types who have a lot of wisdom to pass on to those of us who don’t know any better or have as much experience.
These people are important and if you get the chance, listen to what they have to say, it can be absolutely crucial the day you find yourself in a situation you may not have experienced before and therefore not mastered!

But this is not enough, what else is needed?

Yes, you need much more, you need the dealers who keep the wheels turning in the industry every single day, the ones who help us to realize dreams or perhaps correct those projects that turned out not to go as well as we might have hoped!
The projects that failed and need knowledge and expertise to be corrected again, so that we can once again get back on the road and just enjoy riding a motorcycle.

We also need the importers who stand behind the retailers so that they have the support they need to keep the wheels turning.

Here is Joachim Paulsson from the Scandinavian KTM importer that comes every year.

But this is not enough, we need more, even more.

We also need the enthusiasts who think and work for our safety on the road and do the part of the job we may not be so good at taking care of, namely our own and others’ safety.
NMCU works tirelessly for our safety every single day and we are incredibly grateful for that.

Was there more?
Oh yeah…

We need the media, the iconic sluggers like Jarl Hole or the slightly younger Rolf Marthinsen, communicators in their own formats who communicate with us every single day to share information, knowledge and experience.

Last but not least, we need the people, we need the meeting participants who appreciate all this and who give us the courage to do it again, again and again.

We need those of you who are willing to innovate and be at the forefront, and we also need those of you who don’t want to change at all because you reserve the right to just ride your motorcycle the way you always have.
That’s perfectly fine too.

We need you Viggo and you Trym, in short, we need everyone to succeed with such a fantastic event, it couldn’t be worse!

Then there are many who are not mentioned and we apologize for that, but we will come back to a list that shows everyone who participates from the industry, so we can duly thank you all, you deserve it.

But for now, we are enjoying the weekend.
For those of you who did not get to participate this year, come next year, Lars Arne and Katrine continue their tireless improvement work to make this even better.
