Press release, Bårdshaug Herregård.
Bårdshaug Herregård continues to invest in motorcycle tourism in 2022 by joining the successful all-digital Hubriding.no concept of Straand Hotel in Vrådal and the member organization De Historiske Hotel og Spisesteder.
During Easter week 2022, Bårdshaug Herregård’s route suggestions for classic bikes will be launched on the digital platform hubriding.com.
– “We’ve really been looking forward to this,” says Magnus Müller Lysholm, third-generation operator and host at the historic Bårdshaug Manor in Orkanger.
Hubriding.no, developed by Straand Hotel in Vrådal, is undoubtedly a success story and a new standard for motorcycle tourism.
Hubriding.no has resulted in more and longer visits to the associated hotels, where the focus is on the riding guest who will experience, stay and eat well.
– Orkanger is a natural hub for Norwegian tourists on two wheels, especially for travelers who want to experience the beautiful Trøndelag coast and historic central Norway.
Bårdshaug Herregård’s ambition is to be the preferred hotel partner for classic motorcycle guests in our region, which is underpinned by the well-established standard of the hubriding.no concept.
Our booking manager, MC rider and local project manager for Hubriding.no, Siv June Øyen, together with Orkdal resident and MC enthusiast Svein Erik Hovde, has worked out exciting regional route proposals for this summer’s MC guests,” Müller-Lysholm continues.
– The Hubriding.no concept at Bårdshaug Herregård includes “Bikers welcome”, washing facilities, drying facilities, secure parking, tool lending and a pleasant surprise on arrival.
We offer experiences, hospitality and impressions you won’t soon forget!
At Bårdshaug Herregård, motorcycle guests will feel extra well looked after and welcome,” Müller-Lysholm concludes.
About Bårdshaug Manor:
The stately Bårdshaug Manor is centrally located in the small town of Orkanger, just a short drive from Trondheim.
Originally, the majestic manor house was the home of entrepreneur and man of the world Christian Thams – architect, minister, landowner and consul general.
Today’s Bårdshaug consists of the manor house, several charming buildings from the 1890s and modern hotel buildings from 1980.
After a long day, you can relax in one of the lounges in the hotel’s lobby, or in the Hunting Bar, which is decorated with trophies, weapons and photographs from Christian Tham’s many travels in Africa.
The history of Bårdshaug Manor is like a real-life fairy tale, a family story about one man in particular who didn’t let pettiness prevail, but who used his vision and drive to build a number of successful businesses.
Siblings Gunvor and Magnus Müller Lysholm are the third generation of hosts at Bårdshaug Manor.
They grew up with their mother and father in the hotel business, and spent all their childhood and teenage years in Orkland.
They want all guests at Bårdshaug Herregård to have a little experience of the municipality.
Be it the good food from the local farms, the hospitable culture, the beautiful salmon river, the exciting story of Christian Thams or something else.
Together, they will work to make you feel relaxed and at ease.
Just as if you were at home with a good friend.
A warm welcome!
