The historic Straand Hotel in Vrådal is constantly working on innovation and product development for motorcyclists.
The family-run hotel, which is owned and operated by the Straand family, is the driving force behind the popular Straand meeting, which has quickly become a central meeting place for Norwegian motorcycle enthusiasts.

This week, the Straand family is launching another new product: HUB Riding.
The hotel has developed the concept in collaboration with MC magazine’s Team BikerDudes, which has been responsible for the riding and practical development of the concept.

– We want to show our guests all the great things they haven’t seen and perhaps driven,” says Hotel Director Lars Arne Straand, who wants to further develop the product portfolio offered to motorcyclists.

Surveys show that many of us end up driving routes and roads we know, rather than trying new ones.
We’ve created eight individual routes with mileage ranging from five to 20 miles, and if you combine several routes, you can easily drive 30 miles in one day.
In other words, the eight defined route choices are a basic package that forms the basis for multiple choices and even more options.

Based at the Straand Hotel, you won’t have to worry about packing and unpacking and boring transportation, and you can still experience new riding routes every single day for at least a whole week.
You can return to the hotel’s rooftop terrace every day to enjoy socializing, meet other motorcycle enthusiasts, and enjoy good food and drink in an inspiring motorcycle environment full of like-minded people and exciting motorcycles.
Here you can rest and get ready for new and exciting riding and nature experiences the next day.

The selected routes are each spectacular in their own way and take you past many of Telemark’s sights and eateries.
You can also find peace and quiet in beautiful places without people and fairies.

The selected routes are mostly on winding roads, and you can choose whether you only want to drive on asphalt or a combination of asphalt and gravel.
Guided tours can be booked if desired, but all the routes are easy to follow, so most people will be able to do this themselves.

– The hotel is located at the origin of the grid, which makes emergency response easier if anyone needs assistance.
As the hotel is located in the middle of the grid, we will be able to come to everyone’s rescue quickly,” says Lars Arne Straand.

July, we will launch the new concept, and we will offer a special package for those who want to visit us on this occasion.
We have a lot of motorcyclists who come back because they enjoy staying with us, and we go to great lengths to maintain our position as Norway’s best motorcycle hotel,” says Lars Arne Straand, who continues: – “In connection with the launch, we will offer advantageous package prices, and these will be made available on our website.
