Straand-Treffet is reaching new heights.
The meeting administration states that the 2020 edition will soon have exceeded 1,000 registrations at the start of the new year.
In addition, the event has partnered with the Norwegian Motorcycle Union (NMCU) in connection with the professional program for the seminar.
– “We’re looking forward to working closely with the project group planning the Straand event.
We will also look at the possibility of organizing some special offers for NMCU members during the rally,” says Bjørn M. Magnussen, General Manager of NMCU.
The Norwegian Motorcycle Union is the interest organization for Norwegian street motorcyclists and has approx.
11,500 members.
– “We will provide more information about our program as we get closer to the event.
But we encourage all NMCU members who are planning their MC year to put the date of the meeting in their calendars,” says Bjørn M. Magnussen with a smile.
Good driving experiences:
Straand-Treffet announced the date for this year’s event early last fall, so that motorcycle clubs that have the opportunity to plan a visit to the event can get the event into their annual plan and calendar.
The goal this year is to exceed 2,000 visitors in Vrådal in Telemark during the weekend of September 18-20.
September.
At Straand-Treffet, participants have the opportunity to try out new motorcycles in safe and beautiful natural surroundings.
The focus is on safe and good driving.
Participants can choose to stop by during the day or stay overnight.
When it comes to overnight stays, a number of options are available to ensure the lowest possible price for the participants.
Whether you’re riding in Vrådal on your own bike or on one of the many bikes available for test rides at Straand-Treffet, you can be sure that the riding and nature experience will be fantastic.

Trond Olsen steps in as Straand-Treffet’s meeting general.
Motorcycle enthusiast Kirsti Strømmen Holm from Drøbak has joined him as second-in-command.
– “I ride a motorcycle to work every day.
There are also many trips at weekends.
So there are many kilometers a year.
So it’s good to spend time organizing motorcycles too,” says Kirsti Strømmen Holm to MC-avisa.
In her everyday life, she is a coordinator in the research department of the Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation in addition to her role as NK for Straand-Treffet.
Kirsti Strømmen Holm will play a central role in this year’s Straand-Treff.
– This is a voluntary effort to create good motorcycle experiences, and I’m incredibly proud to have been asked by the initiators to be team leader,” says Trond Olsen.
The new project organization will be presented on Facebook in the future.
Tent, space in cabin, cottage or hotel:
Of course, many people choose to just drive by the meeting on a day trip, preferably on a Saturday.
Others travel and stay in their own cabins or those of their friends in the region, alone or on a boys’ or girlfriends’ trip.
– But those who wish can stay overnight at the campsite, rent a bed in a shared cabin, rent a cabin for a group or stay at Straand Hotel.
It’s also possible for clubs to rent a room in a separate apartment hotel located right next to Straand Hotel,” say Lars Arne Straand and Katrine Straand, the host family and 5th generation Straand.
generation Straand.
Lars Arne has a motorcycle license and is of course also a member of NMCU.
– “We have the capacity to welcome many thousands of guests here in the heart of Telemark,” says Lars Arne Straand.
The weather at Straand-Treffet 2019 was absolutely brilliant, and we can only cross our fingers, arms and legs that the 2020 edition continues the trend.

– All of us who work in the steering group with Straand-Treffet are members of NMCU, and we encourage other motorcycle enthusiasts to join.

“It’s gratifying that the Straand event seems to be continuing its positive and rapid development, and not least that there is so much interest.
Last year’s event was truly a major motorcycle highlight for those of us who had the pleasure of participating.
More information about the program will be presented in the future as it falls into place.
