Fantastic
driving routes

Hubriding is a concept where you stay in the hotel and enjoy new and exciting driving routes every single day.

Hubriding Kviknes Hotel - fantastic driving routes!

Kviknes Hotel is called the pearl by the Sognefjord and for us motorcyclists, this hotel is located in some of the most beautiful touring terrain we can dream of. Here you will find the High-end routes that go over Gaularfjell, Turtagrø, Aurlandsfjellet, Sognefjellet, Stalheimskleiva, Jølstravatnet or the spectacular fjords. The routes we have created are from 16 to 32 miles long and crammed full of experiences you will never forget. Good or bad weather, it's just great anyway. 9 routes make it possible to enjoy yourself for at least 9 consecutive days at Kviknes Hotel, which is one of Norway's largest wooden buildings. This just MUST be experienced.

route 1

Route 1 - Fjord and mountains

This is the shortest trip, but the short length of the trip is by no means at the expense of fantastic nature and great experiences!

Route 2

This is a round trip along the Sognefjord. It is about 50 minutes to Nordeide quay where you take the ferry over to Ortnevik on the south side of the Sognefjord.

Kviknes Hotel

At Kviknes Hotel, the innkeeping traditions date back to 1752. The Kvikne family, which today owns the hotel, took over in 1877. The hotel was built in the Swiss style, and has retained its distinctive character even after several renovations and expansions. Kviknes is a modern hotel with soul and atmosphere, and with its 190 rooms is one of the most traditional hotels in Norway. The hotel has collected a number of works of art and jewelery that characterize the hotel and give it its special style. The hotel is idyllically located by the Sognefjord in national romantic surroundings . The list of prominent guests at Kviknes Hotell is very long. Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany was a frequent guest in Balestrand. In addition, royal doctors, emperors, presidents, prime ministers, movie stars and artists from many countries can be found on the guest list. Kviknes Hotel is located in the center of Balestrand, a beautiful and lush western countryside in the middle of the world's most beautiful adventure! Here, three fjord arms extend further inland, with small hamlets as pearls between the fjord and the mountains. With its central location by the Sognefjord, Balestrand has been welcoming guests from home and abroad since the end of the 19th century.

Hubriding
Fun-factor and swing guarantee

The grid offers all kinds of challenges and those who want to play will find opportunities for it. As for the turn guarantee, it is not often we find such signs in Norway, but we have found them and made them available to you.

Hubriding means that you, based on one of the Historic Hotels, choose from many defined driving routes located in the surrounding hotel. The routes we offer run in some of Norway's very best terrain and include tens of thousands of turns, spectacular mountain passes, asphalt, gravel, wonderful nature experiences and the opportunity to eat well at local establishments. In the routes we have added sights and restaurants you can visit. You will be able to choose between routes and route combinations that make it possible to choose day stages with varying length and degree of difficulty. The trails can be combined and built as you wish. In other words, you can drive as much as you can on the surface and in the terrain you like best.

We have developed the concept because we like the motorcyclist as a guest group and for you to avoid tedious moves from hotel to hotel and tedious transport stages that take time. You should simply be able to spend your time on what you like best, just drive and enjoy Norway and all the great things we have to offer. Not least the opportunity to return to a well-known and established base to enjoy the good life, good food and drink and a staff that makes good arrangements for you and your needs as a motorcyclist. Exciting to leave the hotel - good to come back.

In the route network, we have arranged for you to be able to see the most interesting sights in Norway. These places have been carefully selected by local motorcyclists and hotel staff. Many of the sights are hidden gems and experiences that can only be experienced through Hubriding.

Should something happen to you, or your bike, along the way, we offer assistance as soon as possible. In the event of a breakdown, our partners will be able to ensure that you can get a rental bike the very next day. We have arranged for washing, lubrication and drying if necessary. If necessary, call your Hubriding hotel for assistance.
