Spring is well and truly upon us and a new driving season is just around the corner. The roads in Telemark are being swept and the conditions are right for a wonderful start to the season as early as Easter.

Vrådal/Telemark, April 11, 2025 – The historic Straand Hotel in Vrådal is looking forward to a new season filled with driving pleasure and great experiences on winding roads in Telemark. We have three pieces of advice.

1. THIS EASTER THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO IN VRÅDAL

The snow is gone from the roads but is still in the ski resort, the golf course is ready for use and the frost on the ground is gone, the roads have been swept and cleaned almost everywhere – in short, it’s spring. The roof terrace is prepared and the menu is ready. The temperature is rising and, according to YR, the sun will be out a lot in Vrådal this Easter.

It’s been a long time since we’ve had such an early start to the motorcycle season, so it’s our duty to ensure that motorcyclists can once again enjoy the roof terrace and guaranteed turns on Telemark’s roads. You can rent an electric bike and enjoy your own company and experiences in our beautiful local area, or simply go for a day trip on your motorcycle. A group of car enthusiasts will find their way to beautiful Vrådal already on Palm Saturday, when a large crowd is expected on the terrace and many happy people looking forward to a new driving season.

You can participate in after-ski with a motorcycle, golf clubs, bike, skis or touring gear, no problem. Straand is the destination and meeting point at Easter and motorcyclists are guaranteed a great start to the season, call us for an Easter price.

If you book a room, you will be entered into a draw to win a useful surprise package for motorcyclists supplied by Speed Motorcenter in Sandefjord. State that you are a HubRider when booking.

2. On May 1st, we will of course celebrate the start of the season in Telemark

This year, we want to develop our own May Day tradition and mark the start of the season as it should be. This will be a huge celebration with fast cars and motorcycles. Lunch has already been booked for a large group, so this weekend will be a huge car and motorcycle exhibition with lots of cool donations and an exciting barbecue and cake menu.

Speed and others will arrange drive-outs from their own stores with Straand and the bikers’ lunch on the roof terrace as the goal of the day. Attendance and departure will be announced on their own websites and Facebook.

3. Rust remover and driver development at the airstrip in Fyresdal

On May 10, we will once again organize this year’s rust solver together with Førerutvikling.no. As in previous years, we will take the participants through a series of technical exercises that will enable us to tackle this summer’s challenges on the road. An important measure for your own and others’ safety that we hope as many people as possible are willing to invest in.
