This weekend, the Norwegian Sports Car Club met in beautiful Vrådal for a driving weekend on fantastic Telemark roads with their well-known turn guarantee.
The weather was at its very best, the view and the experiences on the roof terrace topped it all.
Happy people, good company, a parking lot full of motorcycles and cool sports cars with raw sound and the mountains as a backdrop – what could possibly be better?
The sports car club inspires everyone by planning their events very well.
They are good at finding the most beautiful and fun roads to Vrådal and are happy to include lunch stops with guided tours of exciting places.
This time the trip was to the newly opened Autostrada Kongsberg, where Ingrid Helene Skaalen Årnes served a good lunch with a tour of the beautiful new facility.
“Here you’ll find the latest and greatest in Mercedes-Benz and a lot of passion.
“We are so incredibly happy that Straand has become a central hub for motor enthusiasts (on two and four wheels) in southern Norway and that we now actually function as a HUB and a meeting place,” says Lars Arne Straand, who together with his wife Katrine.
They are the fifth generation to run Straand Hotel.
Saturday’s sunshine trip started along Nisser and Vråvatn on the winding fairground roads to Fyresdal and on to Treungen.
The goal of the trip was a visit to the Z-Museum and Johan was in his usual good storytelling mode.
This family has collected unique artifacts from our own time that we rarely get to experience in this way.
The drive ended up the legendary newly paved Kviteseidkleivene, when the return trip was diverted to Gautefallheia – Bostrak – Grova – Fjågesund, which is a fun alternative to the beautiful new Telemark Road from Treungen to Vrådal along Lake Nisser.
There are plenty of exciting driving experiences in this region.
It’s extra nice that we have these very special farewell sessions on the departure days where we summarize, share experiences and lay the foundation for the next event,” he adds.
“We’ve grown fond of the motoring community and happy and satisfied guests are at the top of our wish list,” he says.
